ROBOTICS

Fred Wolfink runs a robotics workshop every year for the Art Education Department. Students may choose to take the unit about designing, building and programming art robots within this required graduate course, Teaching in New Media. His curriculum is informed from a variety of robotic workshops that he has developed for the Boston Public Schools and after school programs for kids.

Fred also co-teaches with Dana Moser a robotics course in the Studio for Inter-related Media (SIM) Department. For art ed students interested in learning more about the possibilities of interactive sculpture and installation control, this course has tremendous value.

Fred is Associate Director of the Computer Art Center(CAC) at Massart
